Steve Irwin - The Crocodile Hunter Passed Away

Steve Irwin, the larger-than-life Australian who became known as the Crocodile Hunter, has died aged 44.

The father of two was filming off the coast of Australia when a stingray's barbed tail pierced his heart, wounding him fatally."

Born in Melbourne, Stephen Robert Irwin went on to become one of the few wildlife presenters to conquer America with his irrepressible persona and catchphrase: "Crikey!" His father, Bob Irwin, was a reptile enthusiast who moved with his family in 1970 to start a reptile park in Queensland. Irwin was surrounded by animals from an early age.

Surely, we will him the crocadile hunter!

It's very sad news for ReptilesWeb.com and all the pet reptiles friends!

As reptile friends, all of us will miss him.
